SETTING UP YOUR E-MAIL CLIENT MANUALLY (CPANEL) - 09-01-2014 UPDATE

Due to PCI compliance, if you plan on setting up your email client manually and not using the default automatic configuration files your email client settings should be (this is for all cPanel users):

Username: [email protected]

Password: your password

Where yourdomain.name is the name of your domain hosted with us.

You MUST use SSL for secure connections for POP3 and IMAP.

The ports are the following:

IMAP/SSL port: 993

POP3/SSL port: 995

OUTGOING SMTP port 465

Please note that the certificate for the SSL connection is for our own server and most of the mail clients will notify you about this with an error message. You can safely ignore the message.

If you experience problems with the secure protocols please try to switch from SSL to TLS or vice versa.

The following articles can provide further guidance in accepting or trusting your SSL certificate warning and are for reference use only. Please note that we cannot offer any direct support for the information or links that have been provided below.
